Mariana is a researcher in the field of future studies and strategic planning. She is building a new methodology of scientific forecast combining counterfactual analysis and scenario building. She is an analyst, futurist, strategist, and trend-tracker.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Culture studies and Cultural anthropology at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2002. She completed an Executive Program in Political leadership at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2010. She completed the International Visitors Leadership Program at the US State Department in 2012. She earned her Ph.D. in Futurology, Future Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2013. She completed an Executive Program in Political leadership at the Chinese Academy of Governance in 2013.
