Maxat Akhmetkaliyeva is a Professor at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Head of China-Kazakhstan Joint Center on Remote Sensing of Applications for Sustainable Development of Central Asia in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her main research interests are: environmental security, environmental protection, chemical ecology, human impacts on the environment, ecological expertise and global ecology.
