Shannon is a third year Political Science and Economics major at the University of Florida. Shannon is also pursuing Middle Eastern Studies and is entering her fifth semester of Arabic. She is a member of the UF honors program and Phi Beta Kappa. At UF, she is a National Merit scholar, Benacquisto scholar, and Anderson scholar. Shannon has been a research assistant to Dr. Winston Nagan since June 2020, and their joint work focuses on international law and human rights. She participates in the International Scholars Program and the Peace Corps Prep Program at UF. Shannon hopes to continue her academic pursuits in Middle Eastern Studies after graduation from the University of Florida.
